step 1 - hair + makeup

don't lift a finger (yes, sweatpants are encouraged)! Our professional HMUA is prepared to wow you with your own beauty.

step 2 - client closet

at kbp, you're vip, which means an all access pass to our VIP closet. while we ask you bring your own intimate pieces, we have plenty of fun accessories to add elements of sexy + sophistication. not sure what to bring? don't worry. we will help!

step 3 - the shoot

it's time for you to shine! don't worry about posing, we guide your every pose, expression + hand placement to make you look + feel your best. I'll show you some images as we go, too!

Step 4 - Massage

after your session, indulge in a complimentary massage, while we prepare your images for viewing. Our treat!

Step 5 - Reveal

Pour a glass of wine, it's time to fall in love with you all over again! My favorite part of the process. We will go through each image one by one, as many times as you'd like until you are fully confident; not only with yourself but with your selection.

Step 6 - choose your products

This means we take our time with each individual client crafting an experience from the start in hopes to carry those memories through generations to come. As artists, we believe in preserving your images + showcasing the art outside of a hard-drive somewhere to never be seen again. We work very hard to tailor a custom + quality experience that is transformative + revitalizing.

I know personally how important it is to preserve the very nature of a moment. This moment. I, too, remember vividly what it did + still does for me every time I look at my portfolio.

If you value printing over stowing away your memories on a thumb drive, you've come to the right place. All digital images will be included with the purchase of your products.

FAQ

Will my photos be posted on the internet?

Not unless you say it’s ok! Every client I feature on my blog has given me written permission to post her images. If you aren’t comfortable with any images being shared, that is completely fine, just let me know! I have cellulite/stretch marks/acne. Can you get rid of that?

In most cases, yes*. Removal of acne, acne scarring, stretch marks, and cellulite is part of the retouching process. Additional retouching can be discussed at an additional fee. What I won’t do is drastically change your body shape or face, I want your images to look like you. If there is something you feel self-conscious about, we can use poses and lighting to emphasize your favorite features instead.

I don't look like the girls on your website, can I still book a session?

Of course! I feel bad that people even ask this question! Since picking up a camera in 2015, I have photographed a diverse amount of shapes, sizes, ethnicities and ages (I’ve had many clients well into their 60s!). Not everyone is comfortable with their photos being shared online, so unfortunately I’m not able to show all of my work. What I can promise is that I will create images to flatter YOU and best show your personality. I believe every woman is beautiful and it’s my job to show you just how gorgeous you are.

Do I bring my own lingerie, or do you provide the outfits?

You will need to bring your own intimate pieces to the photo shoot. We have plenty of fun things to compliment your choices. If you want to do a ‘white sheets’ look, I provide the sheets. Select outfits that suit your personality and body shape, and complement your skin tone. Once you book your shoot I send a full PREP GUIDE with outfit ideas, suggestions, and recommendations of where to shop. We walk beside you every step of the way!

What about hair and makeup, do I do it myself?

Nope, our in-house HMUA, Patience, will take care of you! She's been part of the team for quite some time now and not only is her work exceptional, it makes a huge difference in the end result of your images. Even a ’no-makeup’ look is best achieved with a professional! As you send ideas to me, I'm keeping her in the loop. Some opt for a consult where she will discuss the look you’d like to achieve or advise you if you aren’t sure what to ask for. But most, solely trust her expertise.

Can I bring my partner or a friend to my shoot?

Generally I prefer to work one on one with my clients, simply because sometimes an ‘audience’ can make you feel more self conscious and serve as a distraction from the process. Of course, I have made some exceptions, so let's chat.

I want you to be able to feel relaxed and fully present for the shoot; this is a big factor in creating incredible images that you’ll cherish forever. If you absolutely must bring moral support, they are welcome to attend the makeup/hair portion of your session, then leave to have lunch or go shopping while we do the photo shoot. The only person you should invite is your biggest cheerleader – if they’re not excited for you, they can stay home!

I’m ready to book a shoot, what’s next?

Fill out my 'connect', page and I will send you package options and add ons. Once we pick a date I will send you a booking proposal and contract. The contract must be signed and a non-refundable retainer is due to reserve your shoot day/time. The remaining balance is due 1 week before the day of your shoot, and payment can be made with credit card through my online booking system. Payment plans are available if you need a bit of flexibility in order to afford the package you really want to book.

How far in advance should I book?

As soon as possible. Our Boudoir Sessions are highly limited as I prefer to localize my attention to each client. Ask us for a list of available dates.

I’m not sure if I want an album or not, can I decide when I see my photos?

Absolutely. Immediately following your session you will indulge in a 50 minute massage while I prepare your images. You can decide then, if you want to purchase product.

Where do the shoots take place?

Depending on the Collection you choose, usually either my studio in Joplin or a private Victorian Suite in Joplin. All sessions are done by appointment only, I am not able to accommodate walk-ins.

In other cities, I shoot in a luxury hotel suite or other suitable space. Exact location will be confirmed and sent to you prior to your shoot.

What else should I know?

I pride myself on not only my photographic skill, but my ability to make my clients feel welcome, seen, safe, comfortable and beautiful. Photo shoots are available to women aged 18 and over (you may be asked to provide ID).
