Taylor + Grant Welcome a new Baby Girl
That time in the hospital before you get to bring baby home is such a special time! Your baby is so teenie tiny and the time in the hospital goes by in such a blur. I love it when clients choose to capture this time in their lives and I’m sure they love the resulting images too. Never again will baby be this tiny and new.
I had the pleasure of working with a proud family (who means the world to me) of a baby girl who was only 24 hours old when I arrived at Freeman hospital in Joplin, MO. Taytum Ann was born on September 21 at 7:51 am, she was 7lbs 7.2 oz and 20 1/4 inches long, pure perfection!
I was so excited to capture those first moments of her life and create images that they could treasure forever. The session was very intimate, with just the parents, the baby, big brother and myself. The parents were overjoyed and couldn't take their eyes off their little one. The baby girl was so tiny and precious, it was a privilege to be able to document her arrival into the world.
I worked with the parents to create images that captured the special bond between the four of them, as well as some solo shots of the baby. The parents also had all the outfits and bows that they wanted to include in the session, which added a personal touch to the images.
The session was done in the comfort of the hospital room, and I used natural light to create soft, warm images. The baby was so calm and content, which allowed me to capture some truly beautiful shots.
The final images turned out stunning and the parents were over the moon with them. I was so happy to be able to capture this special moment in their lives and create images that they will be able to look back on and cherish forever.
Photographing newborns in the hospital is one of my favorite things to photograph! Most hospitals allow guests which means I’m able to photograph Fresh 48 sessions – yay!! If you are considering doing one, don’t hesitate. You won’t regret it!! I would love to be your Southwest Missouri Fresh 48 Photographer. Fresh babies are just the best.
