Are you a natural light photographer?
If it's available, but when it's not I make my own. Many venues are dark or contain orange hues. Not to get too geeky here, but if left with backlighting or low lighting conditions, you will experience orange skin tones or even a green/blue dress when you bought a white one. We are educated to work with all lighting elements to create timeless portraits.
How many pictures will I receive?
This solely depends on the session type and collection you choose. We are not a volume photography studio, so we focus on longevity, quality and sustainability over delivering hundreds of digitals. Weddings typically deliver around 300-500 images with approximately 60-100 represented in a premium wedding album.
Do you add special effects or filters to our photos?
We hand edit each and every photo. While some sessions may call for a little "pizzazz", our general esthetic calls for timeless, authentic imagery.
This especially applies to weddings. Many photographers showcase their work to impress other photographers or get published. And, unfortunately, they care little about how well their images will age for their clients. Don't get me wrong, tasteful creativity is good, but experience will teach you when and where it's appropriate. Weddings aren't the time or place to show off!
What should I wear?
We offer wardrobe guides and consults for every one of our session types. Let's be honest, some things just don't photograph as well as others. Our style team is equipped to help!
Are you available outside of SWMO?
You bet! We will travel just about anywhere. Some fees are even waived for select destinations. Ask us!
